July Ipsy Bag Review

My July Ipsy Glam Bag made it FINALLY-although the pink sparkly envelope had seen much better days, it was literally opened and taped shut, but nothing was missing. Thanks FedEx.

The bag this month is adorable-its this Japanese pop culture little fried egg guy named Gudetama. Apparently, he’s lazy, somewhat depressed, unfazed, and unmotivated.

The inside is lined with a bright yellow liner, which I love.

Hubs is disturbed by the fact the the yolk has a butt. 😳 This bag is sturdy, it feels really well made. Not that they usually aren’t.

Ok! Onto the goodies!

First goodie: Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel

It’s obviously sample size-it’s got a refreshing scent and I’m excited to try it. This was the product I requested this month.

Ofra single pan shadow in Gold Rush-

I love Ofra shadows and Gold Rush does not disappoint. I’ll be adding her to my Z Palette today-retails for 6$ and here’s a swatch:

Next, Seraphine Botanicals Ginger and Gold Peach and Gold Frosting Blush-

Now this…this is a gorgeous peachy/gold blush, not too heavy or shimmery.

It’s got ginger, chamomile, lychee, and mangosteen extracts as well. Retails for 14$. Swatched:

It’s actually not as light as it looks in this photo-it’s really pretty.

I was hoping I’d get this, and was so happy it was in the bag.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. It smells AMAZING. There is, however, one MAJOR disappointment with this:

Seriously? I mean, I get that this is a trial/sample size-.33 oz or 10ml which is about 2 tsp, but I mean….no. I’m putting this on IG too. No shame. I’m looking forward to trying it-if there’s enough.

Last but not least, Chella Eyebrow Cream in Tantalizing Taupe

This pen type packaging is cool, on one end you have a tapered, thin eyebrow brush:

Then, on the other end, in the cap, is the eyebrow cream:

You dip the brush in the cream (which feels a little more powdery then creamy, but whatever). I haven’t tried it on my brows yet, but judging by the swatch I think I’ll like it:

Real human hair, y’all. I haven’t decided how I feel about that. Like, exactly WHO’S hair is this? 😳 I’ll get over it I’m sure.

So there it is-the July Ipsy Glam Bag. This is probably one of my favorite bags-Ipsy has been gradually upping their game. The actual bag is adorable, and I feel like I got 3 full size products-the shadow, blush, and brow cream. If they’re not full size, they’re pretty darn close, and all for 10$. Brava, Ipsy.
