Coming Soon To A Sephora, Ulta, or Walgreens Near You

This fall is bringing a TON of new brands to various stores, and they are mighty exciting, Lovelies.

First, new at Sephora this fall you will see:

Tom Ford Beauty
Moon Juice

And the highly anticipated makeup line from Rihanna, Fenty Beauty, hits Sephora shelves Sept. 18.

I am THRILLED to see ColourPop in Sephora. Y’all know how I feel about ColourPop.

Ulta will be bringing you:

Frank Body
Dose of Colors

And Memebox, makers of Disco Kitten Diamond Peel-off Mask, which is so sold out, its nearly impossible to get. They have several other must have products, but Disco Kitten is probably the most recognized.

And lastly, the brands you’ll be seeing on Walgreens shelves this fall:

Sleek MakeUP-usually found in the U.K., this affordable and pretty awesome brand has been slowly creeping over to our shores. They have to die for highlighting palettes.

NYX- I thought NYX was at Walgreens but it’s definitely not. But not for long!

There you have it, Lovelies. It’s going to be an amazing fall.

September Boxycharm Spoiler & Aug Update

As I think I mentioned before, Boxycharm subs will include Eyeshadow palettes in all boxes thru December. The September box will have the Pür Cosmetics Soirée Diaries Eyeshadow Palette retailing for 34$.

It looks gorgeous-a really pretty neutral/nude palette that any skin shade can use. Sorta reminds me of the Carli Bybel one.

August boxes do have some variations. While all boxes include the tarte palette, the royal and langnickle brushes, and the pür cosmetics lashes, these are some of the variants you may receive.

BellaPierre Gel Eyeliner in Ebony

Gel eyeliner, who can’t use a new eyeliner, right? This retails for 15$.

The Beauty Crop GRLPWR Liquid Lip in Date Night-

Another nice nude. Can I just say that I own a Beauty Crop liquid lip and they smell SO GOOD. Retails for 15$.

And there you have it!!

Thank you to My Subscription Addiction for the info.

Boxycharm July 2017 Review

Well, that was a nice surprise-my box came pretty darn early this month-and it’s a good one. Let’s start:

The theme for this month is “Cutie Pie”. Okay. First thing I grabbed:

The Ofra Body Illuminizer. It looks like it may be some sort of collab between Ofra and Boxycharm-it’s lightly scented if at all, and comes out sort of dark:

But it blends out to a very very light shimmery glow. The lighting in this picture is poor, but trust me, in person it’s there.

It’s really pretty-not at all like a tanning lotion and doesn’t really alter your skin tone. I likey. This retails for 39.95$. Dayum.
Next, the blinc x Boxycharm Electric Eyes Palette:

It’s got a mirror, cute-but guys. O.M.G.-look at this:

That is ONE swipe each. These are SO beautifully pigmented, creamy, buttery, and gorgeous. The cranberry color is giving me life-you obviously couldn’t do an entire look from this with no mattes, but when you do? Wow. This retails for 45$.

So I got the primer, and after sort of wanting the powder at first I’m glad I got this. It feels like a good primer-that kind of soft, silky primer feel? Very lightly scented, and a good SPF to boot.

This bareMinerals Mineral Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Daily Prep Lotion retails for 30$.
WinkyLux Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil:

It’s allegedly universal so will work on most brows. It’s got a spoolie on one end and a triangular pencil at the other.

This retails for 12$.
Last but never least-ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lip in the shade Thursday:

It’s the usual ColourPop formula, and it’s a nice berry shade. Good for summer and fall, actually.

And that’s it! This month’s box is worth 130.00$. That’s excellent for a 21$ box, y’all.

How was your Boxycharm for July?

Full July Boxycharm Spoilers!

I just love this damn box. All full sizes and the value is unbeatable. So here we go-I’ll start with the ones we know about.
Everyone will receive the following:

Boxycharm x Blinc Electric Eye Palette

Retails for 45$.
You’ll get either the bareMinerals Prep Step Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (a primer/sunblock) retailing for 30$
OR bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo, retailing for 32$.

A ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in one of these 6 colors. Retails for 6$.

A Winky-lux Uni-brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil. It says it works on 95% of eyebrow colors, and has a spoolie on one end. Retails for 12$.

And last, but definitely not least-Project Beauty Spray Set Go Setting Spray. It’s hot wild chamomile, rosehip, and green tea extracts and claims to set your makeup while moisturizing. Retails for 32$.

So that’s July, folks! It gives you a value of 125$!!!! For 21$? You can’t beat that. Don’t forget next month includes a Tarte eyeshadow palette, and the rumor is that the boxes will have a different eyeshadow palette every month through December. That’s bomb.

June Boxycharm

My June Boxycharm FINALLY landed in my mailbox today-it shipped on like, June 7. I feel like it stopped every 100 feet! Anyway, it was worth the wait.

This month’s theme is “Downtown Charm”. Cute, right?

First-the Real Her Palette.

In the box

I received the nude collection. It swatches nicely, seems pretty pigmented. The lighter colors actually show up way better in person:

I think I’ll like playing with this palette and I wanted the nude one. So, that’s a win. This retails for 28$.
Next, the Luxie Rose Gold Pro Precision Tapered Face Brush

As usual, I love this brush. It’s great for highlighter or brushing away extra setting powder, and Luxie brushes are bomb. Retails for 24$.
Diamond Glow Powder by Artist Couture

This powder is SO PRETTY. It’s intense, so if you use it as highlight be aware if you tend to be heavy handed. You can brush this loose powder on your collarbone, shoulders, wherever you want a little shimmer. It’s beautiful-a gold tone, but not glitter.

This retails for 26.99$
Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Lipstick

I received the shade Santa Ana, which is the one I wanted, yay. It’s a berry-wine color, gorgeous.

This is probably one of the best liquid lip formulas out there. It’s not drying, it’s not thick, nor is it runny. It smells AWESOME, like a light vanilla scent. Not overpowering either. I absolutely love this formula. Retails for 19.90$.
Last, but not least! 3 Biobelle Cosmetics sheet masks.

There are 3 different types: one called “I Woke Up Like This” which has wild rose and vitamin C, and enhances skin’s natural glow. The next Mask has pomegranate and hyaluronic acid and is called “#1 Beauty Secret”. This one moisturizers and helps skin appear smooth and firm. The last one has tea tree oil, rosehip extract and vitamin C and is a primer for before you apply your makeup. Sounds neat-I’m definitely trying that. These 3 retail for 14.97$ total.

And there you have it, June’s Boxycharm! I’m happy with it, the Ofra lip is a great product, the palette and powder are promising. I always love me some Luxie brushes. The value of this box is 114$. That’s on the lower value end of what I’ve received but I’m fine with that-for 21$ a month? Can’t complain.

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick Review

Jeffree Star is a somewhat controversial figure in the makeup world-he and Kat Von D had a falling out last year, had dueling YouTube videos-it got messy. I like him. His YouTube videos are great-he’s hilarious and knows his stuff. I’ve been looking forward to trying his products because I feel like it’s really a passion of his vs someone just slapping their name on a product Kylie Jenner so I just felt like his stuff would be spot on. And it is.

He released his makeup line in 2014 and has had huge success. I’ve been wanting to try his liquid lipstick forever, and forever is TODAY.

The color I got is called “No Tea No Shade” (how appropriate, right?) and it’s a metallic-because I’m loving metallics right now.

Ok guys, I have to say-it does not smell good. A little chemical-ish. I don’t love that. Hopefully the smell doesn’t last. It’s a decent size, 0.19 fl oz. and are 18$ a pop. FYI-the weird chemical smell is not an issue when wearing the lipstick at all.

It’s got the typical doe foot applicator which I don’t mind at all-here it is swatched:

The formula is NICE. It’s creamy, not drying or sticky either. It’s not streaky and nicely opaque. Here it is on:

I don’t have full makeup on-no foundation or concealer so it’s kind of just slapped on-but you get the drift. I likey. I likey A LOT. I’ll absolutely get more of this brand.

Obsessive Compulsive

A makeup post!!! Yay!! Long overdue, don’t you think? Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is one of my favorite companies. Founded in NYC in 2004, they have a line of makeup that is absolutely fan-effing-tastic.

They have a line of lip color called Lip Tar. It’s a liquid lipstick and super pigmented-a little goes a long, long way. They have metallic, gloss and I hear matte but I haven’t tried it yet. I have 5 of them-3 stained gloss and 2 metallics.

I looooooove this line. They recently came out with a new packaging that includes a doe foot applicator but I haven’t gotten that yet. I’ve been staring at this one for a few months now:

And I should probably shit or get off the pot with this shade before it’s gone and I regret it.

They also have Loose Colour Concentrates:

I own the Loose Colour concentrate in Iced, which is a gorgeous shimmery white-perfect for the inner eye corner.

It is CRAZY pigmented and super easy to work with.

They have nail polish as well-I’ve only got one shade but I like the formula.
If you get a chance, check out the website. They have a million shades of lipstick, and gorgeous Loose Colour.

Colourpop Lippies!!

I’m so excited to get these because I was overdue for some new Colourpop in my life. They have an Ultra Matte Lip, Ultra Satin Lip, Ultra Metallic Lip, and Ultra Glossy Lip in their line,  I purchased 2 Ultra Metallics and 1 Ultra Matte. The Matte is from their Hello Kitty collab, which came out in November 2016, more on that later.

First up is a metallic called Mug Shot:

It’s a cranberry with a great metallic effect. It’s not gooey or gloppy and goes on super smoothly.

You’d honestly only need one coat. I’m loving this shade.

Next up is another metallic, this one called J.I.C. or Just In Case. It’s a warm beige, actually almost a rose gold with a metallic finish.

You can kind of see the metallic tones in this photo-it’s a really pretty shade. Also not gooey or gloppy-nice consistency.

Again, with this one you’ll probably only need one coat. It’s got a lot of gold glitter ✨ in it which I noticed when taking it off. That’s not a bad thing at all-

Last but absolutely not least, I bought a Matte lipstick from the Hello Kitty line in Ribbon:

It’s a blue-based deep red, and I love. The consistency of this one is a little runnier than I’m used to-you might have to scrape the excess off on the side of the lippies container, it’s not a deal breaker nor does it affect my love of the product, it just is.

It’s a beautiful, rich, deep red-I’d be curious to know what its dupes are.

Colourpop liquid lippies are super affordable at 6$ a pop. Rumor has it that it’s the same formula as the Kylie lip kits (ALLEGEDLY) which will hurt your wallet for around 30$. I bought my daughter a few of the Kylie lip kits and in my opinion the only difference between Colourpop and hers is about 25$ and some fragrance. Kylie’s smell like cupcakes or something, couldn’t put my finger on it.

Colourpop is long lasting, in fact I’ve had to use makeup remover to get it off-it’s not just wiping off, at least the Matte formulas. They are so affordable and a Big Bang for your buck.

Highlighters up next!
