Too Faced Peaches & Cream Collection

It’s heeeeere.

The Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection has dropped, and I’m drooling.

The collection consists of foundation, an eyeshadow palette, primer, bronzer, blush, highlighter, matte lipsticks, setting powder, and setting spray-all infused with peach and sweet fig cream. I know a lot of people have peach exhaustion, and I get it. But, my Too Faced Sweet Peach palette is one of my favorites, and I’d love to see if they pulled this off.

The eyeshadow palette is all mattes:

The collection has a bronzer that looks like a latticed pie, and I’ve heard good things about it. The blush, bronzer, and highlight not so much.

I absolutely want the foundation though. It smells like peach 🍑

Now, I absolutely agree that Too Faced has over saturated the market with subpar palettes lately, so I hope this sort of redeems them. This collection is sold exclusively at Sephora and on Which is good for me, because I’m hoping the fam gives me sephora gift cards for the old birthday on Friday. 🤞

October Boxycharm Spoilers!

Already they’re coming!

I mentioned this one already-

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Prosecco Pop. You’ll either get the pressed powder or the liquid, the pressed powder retails for 38$, the liquid for 41$.

Next is Dr Brandt Poredermabrasion:

Love dr brandt products!! They’re pricey, high end, and work. At least for me. This retails for 58$. I’m not sure what the different is between this and the microdermabrasion that came in a previous Boxycharm box-except that one retailed for 80$, still I’ll use it and love it.

I thought I’d heard that the coverFX setting spray was going to be in October’s box as well but I’ll have to recheck that. With just the 2 items, the value is almost 100$!!!

You already know I’ll keep you updated.

Coming Soon To A Sephora, Ulta, or Walgreens Near You

This fall is bringing a TON of new brands to various stores, and they are mighty exciting, Lovelies.

First, new at Sephora this fall you will see:

Tom Ford Beauty
Moon Juice

And the highly anticipated makeup line from Rihanna, Fenty Beauty, hits Sephora shelves Sept. 18.

I am THRILLED to see ColourPop in Sephora. Y’all know how I feel about ColourPop.

Ulta will be bringing you:

Frank Body
Dose of Colors

And Memebox, makers of Disco Kitten Diamond Peel-off Mask, which is so sold out, its nearly impossible to get. They have several other must have products, but Disco Kitten is probably the most recognized.

And lastly, the brands you’ll be seeing on Walgreens shelves this fall:

Sleek MakeUP-usually found in the U.K., this affordable and pretty awesome brand has been slowly creeping over to our shores. They have to die for highlighting palettes.

NYX- I thought NYX was at Walgreens but it’s definitely not. But not for long!

There you have it, Lovelies. It’s going to be an amazing fall.

ColourPop Is Stepping It UP

Now anyone who knows me or has read here for a second knows that ColourPop is one of my all-time favorite makeup brands, and they’ve endeared themselves to me even more, if possible. This week, they announced their first ever first into the face makeup game with the launch of a concealer:

It’s called the No Filter Concealer, and I believe will be priced at 6$. SIX DOLLARS. No word on a release date, but you know I’ll be watching.

They’ve also started their first ever nail polish line:

The polishes were released back in late Jun/early July, and sell for 6$ a bottle. I’m dying to try them out, y’all know me and my nail polish.

ColourPop for me, is such a fantastic brand because it is SO affordable but not garbage. Yes-some of the Ultra Matte lippies are really drying, I admit. Not all though, but the Ultra Satin and Ultra Gloss are some bomb formulas. My first ever highlighter was Flexitarian from them and it’s still a favorite.

Another exciting release is a highlighter palette:

It’s their first pressed powder highlighting palette-it comes with 6 shades, and retails for 18$.

Swatches from

So there you go, some kinda neat news from all that glitters-

June Boxycharm

My June Boxycharm FINALLY landed in my mailbox today-it shipped on like, June 7. I feel like it stopped every 100 feet! Anyway, it was worth the wait.

This month’s theme is “Downtown Charm”. Cute, right?

First-the Real Her Palette.

In the box

I received the nude collection. It swatches nicely, seems pretty pigmented. The lighter colors actually show up way better in person:

I think I’ll like playing with this palette and I wanted the nude one. So, that’s a win. This retails for 28$.
Next, the Luxie Rose Gold Pro Precision Tapered Face Brush

As usual, I love this brush. It’s great for highlighter or brushing away extra setting powder, and Luxie brushes are bomb. Retails for 24$.
Diamond Glow Powder by Artist Couture

This powder is SO PRETTY. It’s intense, so if you use it as highlight be aware if you tend to be heavy handed. You can brush this loose powder on your collarbone, shoulders, wherever you want a little shimmer. It’s beautiful-a gold tone, but not glitter.

This retails for 26.99$
Ofra Cosmetics Long Lasting Lipstick

I received the shade Santa Ana, which is the one I wanted, yay. It’s a berry-wine color, gorgeous.

This is probably one of the best liquid lip formulas out there. It’s not drying, it’s not thick, nor is it runny. It smells AWESOME, like a light vanilla scent. Not overpowering either. I absolutely love this formula. Retails for 19.90$.
Last, but not least! 3 Biobelle Cosmetics sheet masks.

There are 3 different types: one called “I Woke Up Like This” which has wild rose and vitamin C, and enhances skin’s natural glow. The next Mask has pomegranate and hyaluronic acid and is called “#1 Beauty Secret”. This one moisturizers and helps skin appear smooth and firm. The last one has tea tree oil, rosehip extract and vitamin C and is a primer for before you apply your makeup. Sounds neat-I’m definitely trying that. These 3 retail for 14.97$ total.

And there you have it, June’s Boxycharm! I’m happy with it, the Ofra lip is a great product, the palette and powder are promising. I always love me some Luxie brushes. The value of this box is 114$. That’s on the lower value end of what I’ve received but I’m fine with that-for 21$ a month? Can’t complain.

New Cover FX Awesomeness!

After much hemming and hawing, I finally decided to just take the plunge and get the Cover FX Natural Finish Foundation. I got the shade N20 because I’m never completely positive of my undertones (warm? Cool? Who knows?) so I went with neutral. It has a medium to full buildable coverage, blendable as heck, and leaves such a beautiful finish-it was worth all 40$.

It’s a squeeze top rather than a pump-I have no preference myself. It’s thick, but not too thick. Runny foundation makes me nervous, this consistency is perfect.

I’m really happy with this foundation, overall.

Next-I have been eyeballing this product for literally months, and gone back and forth because it’s not cheap (I really love it-but it’s 42$-but you can use it in so many ways-but it’s only a half ounce-Allie, a little hoes a loooong what, it’ll last forever$ so FINE!!

The Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops have found a place in my collection.

And I don’t regret it. Highlighter and related products are my faaaaavorite, you can wear this alone, add it to foundation-and it is stunning. I got it in Moonlight-and a tiny drop takes you FAR.

That’s actually kind of a big drop-but here’s the payoff:

So gorgeous. I haven’t tried it in my foundation yet but you know I will.
So those were my only makeup purchases for this month. What is wrong with me? 😜

Holy Grails: Have, Need, Want

What are your holy grail products/tools? What holy grails are you in need of?

My holy grail highlighter right now is a toss up between MaryLou-manizer and the Stila putty.

My go to constant lippie right now is Beauty Bakerie’s “I Like To Chai Chai”. It’s the perfect nude and the formula is amazing.

The Angel Veil primer is my obsession right now-it was SO WORTH looking high and low for-I love the way it applies and how my skin feels once it’s on. Love.

My HG Cheek palette for the moment is the lorac California Dreamin’ Cheek palette. It’s got 2 bronzers and 2 blushes and they are GORG.

The shades left to right are Sunlight, Wavelength, Ray, and Golden Hour. I use Golden Hour and Ray for contour/bronzer and Wavelength for blush. Wavelength is the prettiest dust pink with a touch of shimmer-love it.

I’ve found that if I want my highlight to pop to the heavens, I use a liquid highlight first-I’ve got NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator in Sunbeam, I then add theBalm MaryLou-manizer over it and holy moly. It looks beautiful.

The NYX-I think it was $5.99 or something like that-Walgreens.

My HG foundation application is with this flat top brush from at n wild-$2.99, people. I’ve got some pricier brushes too, but this one never lets me down.

What are your Holy Grails? What Holy Grails do you need?

Stila Haul Received!!

I was so happy to see my Stila delivery in the mailbox this morning-right in time for the function I had today. Yaaaasss.

So I got 2 Magnificent Metals Shadows, the Heavens Hue trio Highlighter (the “putty” highlight) and a free Stila Huge Mascara.

Here’s the entire haul. The mascara isn’t full size-they weren’t clear about that. It was free though so I’m not complaining!

The Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Shadows

The Ballet Baby

The DuoChrome in Sea Siren

The Ballet Baby is a soft pink with shimmer and glitter. I will say it’s a little patchy at first, but it’s buildable and the patchiness goes away when you use 2 or so coats. It’s a really pretty pink.

Sea Siren is gorgeous. These photos do it zero justice. It’s got pink, blue, lavender, and gold plus shimmer and shine. Definitely a DuoChrome effect. Not as patchy as Ballet Baby.

The highlighter swatched-first is Transcendence, then Kitten, then Bronze. Finger swatches do this NO justice. Once you apply it to the face? Holy crap. It’s stunning.

Here I am in the Sea Siren earlier. Love love it.

The mascara is exactly like Too Faced Better Than Sex, down to the wand. Exaaaaaactly.

There you have it! It was a shiny day!

Giveaway Review

Baseball and Books received her giveaway prizes today and was awesome to write a first impression/review for them. See-people really do win on Tattletales 😜

The following is by Baseball and Books:

The Tarte Tartiest Tease:

It’s super smooth going on and smells really good. A bit like chocolate. I can’t wait to wear it and play with blending it with other colors!

The colors are super pretty. Swatched on my arm from the wrist up are: Whisper, Crush, Heartbreaker, Wink, First Kiss, BFF.

Next, the highlighter. I got the Rose Gold Lights. The container is a little difficult to open which is a little annoying, and it smells a bit like plastic, but that could be from the container.

Swatched on my arm it looks really pretty. I’ve never really used a highlighter before so hopefully I’ll like it.

Removing both was easy-you’ll definitely need a eye makeup remover for the shadows, water didn’t really work unless I scrubbed. The highlighter came off with water, which worried me a little about its staying power when I wear it.

Thank you to B&B for taking the time to swatch, photograph, and write!

Shiny Things, Part 2

This Super Shock Cheek highlighter by Colourpop is a new shade for me:

It’s called Over the Moon-it’s opalescent with pink and lavender glitter tones. It’s not very buildable, FYI.

These opalescents from Colourpop are limited edition, I believe they came out in October so not sure how much longer they’ll be around.

Not overly in love with this one. You do better to apply with fingertips, it’s a waste with a brush. Maybe if you use it WITH something else? To build/mix with another highlighter? I’ll give it a whirl.

Some dupes are:

MAC soft frost, Anastasia Purple Horseshoe, and Makeup Geek Celestial.
