I just want to clarify how I get the information for my dupe posts. I go to Ulta with my handy dandy notebook and I swatch samples like no one has ever swatched. I literally spend hours in Ulta. I also do research on the web, I read articles-most of what I get off of the internet is prices. I got a post from someone with their panties in a bunch claiming I’m not giving credit to other websites, essentially “stealing” others work, etc…which is simply not true. If some of the dupes I’ve found are the same as another sites-well, that’s because I’m not the only one that figured it out. This same commenter claims I erred in posting that the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara is $23-well, it is.


They claimed its $12, stupid. Yes-the mini one is. However I’m not talking about the mini one.

I’m not going to make it a habit of addressing accusations and allegations, for the simple fact that they’re usually so untrue they aren’t worth paying attention to. But, I figured I would take this opportunity to ‘splain how I do this and at the same time shout out to the dupe shamer that MYOB is a great motto when you’re ‘ignant. So now that weve gotten that bullshit out of the way-here are some dupes for Kylie lip kit colors. Say what you will about her, and I probably will too-but some of her shades are gorj.

I wouldn’t have gotten Kyle’s lip stuff bcs I think it’s overpriced, but I will certainly get some of the dupes u keep sharing with us. Btw thanks for splaining but I think u r a person of integrity!   5. I love the dupes. I have been buying and trying things I normally wouldn’t have. Big difference when I can get a dupe for a couple bucks, just would never buy a Kylie brand anything in a million years. Interesting to see the dupe companies.
    While on cosmetics, etc. can I take this moment to complain. It’s one thing when it’s a free sample, fine. A foil packet shampoo is acceptable. In a beauty box I’m paying for they need to stop. I always forget to open them before the shower and can’t get the damn things open once my hands are wet.
    On that same note in a beauty box they want an honest review. When a product says use 7-10 days or whatever for results, don’t give me a single use little packet. I don’t know if it really works. Ugh! Thank you for letting me get that off my chest. We now get back to our regularly scheduled program.
    Anyone else watching the E! red carpet yet? Some fun makeup tips. Amazing what a makeup artist, hair pro, and stylist can do. Hubby couldn’t believe that before and after. He really thought they switched out people.

  9. Sorry Allie don’t know how I missed the post where someone complained. I love the dupe stuff. I was complaining about the samples in beauty boxes. My fav blush is the Milani you gave. I haven’t even been using my Nars. I’m wearing Milani now.

    • Same! Nars Orgasm has been my HG blush for the last 4 years. I cannot believe that I am so in love with Milani! I’ve literally told every friend that I’ve gotten hooked on Nars about this amazing news. Best dupe ever! Sorry Nars! First Hoolah stole me away from Laguna and now this. I almost feel guilty-ish.

  10. It’s obvious you do a lot of research and spend hours reading, etc. about the products. I, for one, truly appreciate you doing the leg (or finger) work. It’s also obvious there are people out there just looking for a reason to get their panties in a wad. it amazes me that with all the things happening in our country that they find things like this to complain about!

    • For me, Kylie is NOT a person I’d want my teen daughter growing up to look up to in even the smallest way. From the beginning of the kardashian reign, I showed my daughter pictures of their fakeness (sure that ass is real Kim, where was it when you were in your late teens & early 20’s?), age appropriately told her about Kim’s video. Kylie is nothing more than a spoiled rotten high school drop out who has access to a great deal of money. Showed her how their “reality” show was nothing more than scripted drama to make all of them look better.

      They aren’t “real” people. & I do not want my daughter growing up to think trading your cooch for money is acceptable & thats what all those folks do.

      But I sure will try some dupes of hers. Much cheaper than Kat Von D.

      • I agree that none of the Jenner/Kardashians offer anything of substance and it’s a shame. Kylie is just as vapid, shallow and yuck as the rest of them-she’s had SO MUCH work done before age 21 and won’t even admit it. The boobs, butt, and lips didn’t just naturally happen. It’s just a shame that so many young girls idolize her.

I’m just saying I find it unbelievable to write another blog specifically saying that you didn’t copy this off the internet when its pretty clear the source material came from the Internet — I googled almost every single one of them for additional information and there was pages on pages and sites on sites for every single one. So I just found the fronting peculiar, as anyone would if they weren’t nose deep.

    • Are you daft? I’m not attacking anyone personally, nor am I attacking their hobbies, or attacking period. Just because someone opens a blog and writes some posts doesn’t mean their infallible and its your civil duty to stand up for them regardless if you don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.

      I guess in the Trumpian FAKE NEWS era people don’t care or care to address someone seemingly lying straight to their face.

      If she wrote “I saw these on the Internet and went to ulta to swatch them for hours to test them out” it would set a completely different tone and be a new perspective on these dupes.

      Instead, she’s alluding that she swatched the dozens of thousands of products at Ulta – with no inclination these dupes exist despite loving makeup – and came up with the exact same conclusions that every single other article and writer and blogger in the world came up with?

      It’s really not that big of a deal. When I read the original, I was like oh this is cool she’s putting all of it one place, I think I’ll try this and that — but to go out of your way to lie I think is just weird. It’s odd.

      And given these weird ass obsessive responses I’m starting to think this place is more of a sad cult than anything — all these random people who spent years idolizing some fat shut-in needed someone new to target their idolization and someone was more than happy to start receiving it.

  18. On-line ordering Oveish 🙂 You can roll your mouse over the image and get a close up, and Ulta has a decent site as far as photography goes. Their stuff on the site is pretty close to what it looks like in person. Hope that helps.

    But nobody I know who has left goes there to try to comment and tell her she sucks or they dislike her or she cannot write or she is a bully etc – they don’t make up names to post there – they don’t care enough to do that

    They are happy to be gone and are happy to post here

    So if you don’t like it here why would post here ? Why not find a blog site that you enjoy? Isn’t life too short to post somewhere where you don’t like the blogger ?
